Innovative Entrepreneurial Class Engages in Team Building Experience
Bringing innovation to the classroom, School of Business faculty combined their talents giving students highly engaging learning experiences.
School of Business faculty, Maggie Abney (finance), and Laura Barthel (accounting), have combined Entrepreneurial Finance with Entrepreneurship. These joint-class teams work together on a semester-long project. Part of the process early in the semester was a class trip for all 63 students to the EKU Challenge Course for team building exercises.
Entrepreneurship and Finance students alike experienced memorable bonding experiences with their teammates that will help to build relationships for improved team cohesion throughout the semester project. The low-ropes course includes exercises in balancing, trust, climbing, and timing.
Finance student Morgan Saylor, Public Accounting and Finance senior from Richmond, reflected on moving out of his comfort zone to participate. "The challenge course was a daring and exciting team-building experience!"
