Banking Students Visit Lexington Financial Headquarters

L-r: Matt McNeil, Kelsey Snyder, Tia Owen, Audra Hall, Abney, Jonathan Davis

Last week, EKU banking students, under the guidance of the instructor Maggie Abney, visited the Central Bank headquarters in downtown Lexington. After a brief luncheon, students met with Executive Vice President and Director of Sales and Marketing, Steve Kelly.  Mr. Kelly presented a lesson in bank marketing relative to their studies of the market for banks in Lexington and Madison County.

For the second session, the class continued to the 21st floor and the offices of Stoll Keenon Ogden. The rooftop patio tour provided beautiful views of Lexington.

While at the bank, two students to were personally introduced to the human resource director for Central Bank. Both submitted applications for employment with Central Bank and are scheduled for interviews.

According to Abney, "This is a wonderful group of students who have been extremely dedicated to their learning experience in our first banking course. This is the second class trip we have taken to Lexington this semester."  This first class trip was hosted by Matt Evans at Bankers Service Corporation.
